The Technological Master’s Degree in Engineering and Management of Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing employs a face-to-face teaching methodology. This approach offers students the invaluable opportunity to engage directly with professors and peers. However, recognizing the diverse needs and obligations of many students, we also provide the option to attend sessions online at a later time. To facilitate this, we utilize the platform provided by Nebrija University , ensuring maximum flexibility in course delivery.
This master’s program is designed to cater to a broad spectrum of students. It appeals to those with prior training in technological fields who are looking to specialize in Cybersecurity, as well as those in technical professions aiming to incorporate a ‘Security First’ approach into their discipline.
The initial segment of the master's degree is dedicated to equipping students with the essential foundations to comprehend all the fundamental aspects of Cybersecurity. The latter part of the program enables students to apply these fundamentals in a practical setting. This includes designing and implementing a security architecture in a Cloud environment, as well as applying hacking techniques and exploiting vulnerabilities in controlled settings. This practical approach empowers students to understand the mindset of attackers and the execution of various types of attacks.
Moreover, the master's degree extends beyond the technical facets of Cybersecurity. Throughout the program, we address other significant topics such as cyber intelligence, the management of technology-focused projects with an emphasis on Cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance. This diverse range of topics mirrors the multifaceted nature of Cybersecurity and readies students for a broad array of roles and challenges in this field.
The course will be delivered both face-to-face and online (synchronously), with classes scheduled in the afternoon to accommodate the academic or professional commitments of our students.
The schedule is as follows:
Please note that there will be no sessions during the month of August, Holy Week 2024, or on days falling between long weekends. The course commences on Monday, February 7, 2024, and concludes with the final session on November 29, 2024, which includes the defense of their final project before the tribunal.
Students are required to demonstrate their eligibility for master's degrees at a Spanish university in accordance with current regulations. Those who are interested in pursuing the Technological Master's degree in Engineering and Management of Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing should possess a profile that blends a curiosity for technology with innovation. They should have an interest in research and a clear commitment to continuous learning, driven by their curiosity in the field of Cybersecurity.
Graduates from educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area may gain admission without the need for validation of their degrees. This is subject to verification by the University that they have attained a level of education equivalent to the respective official Spanish university degrees required, and that their degrees grant them eligibility for postgraduate education in the country where the degree was issued. Admission via this route will not, under any circumstances, imply the validation of the applicant's prior degree, nor its recognition for any purpose other than pursuing Master's degrees.
For students with special educational needs arising from disabilities, the potential requirement for curricular adaptations, alternative study paths or itineraries will be assessed.
Generally, applicants will submit their admission documentation to Nebrija University's Admissions Department. Students are required to provide either the originals or certified copies of the submitted documents within the timeframe set by the University for formalizing their enrollment.
Any inaccuracies, falsehoods, or omissions in the data, statements, or documents provided by the student during the admission period will result in the inability to continue exercising their rights from the moment the University becomes aware of such issues. This will lead to the cancellation of the submitted admission application and the revocation of the place awarded, without prejudice to any criminal, civil, or administrative liabilities that may arise.
To apply for the university's master's degrees, the following documentation must be submitted:
The teaching staff or university advisors from the University will conduct an interview. The aim of this interview is to verify the candidate's suitability and alignment with the degree requirements. The interview will assess whether the candidate possesses the necessary motivation, education, knowledge, abilities, aptitudes, communication skills, extracurricular activities, and future interests to be admitted into the postgraduate courses at Nebrija University.
A recognition study will be conducted based on the degree presented and the Bachelor's studies undertaken. This study must align with specific content and competences.
A maximum of 8 ECTS may be recognized for subjects that are related to the categories of “normal” or “project”, excluding the Master's Final Project.
Upon completion of the Master's degree, students will be equipped to pursue professional opportunities in technical, management, or regulatory compliance roles within the field of cybersecurity.
